Hello, there. My name is Ishtiaque, but my friends call me Porky. I am also the creator of Resumehog. I arrived in Canada from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in June 2022. While I was a hotshot in KL, nobody cared about my credentials in Toronto. The big names I worked for in Southeast Asia meant nothing in North America. But I still somehow managed to land a job, after months of searching. And in true North American fashion, I was laid off shortly after.
Suddenly I was in a precarious position, either land a job within 6 months, or be on the streets, literally. At that time I did not have resumehog, it was extremely painful to tailor my resume for each role. I was spending hours every day tailoring resumes for jobs I wasn’t even sure were real, and it was soul crushing.
